CONNECTING AMERICANS TO PUBLIC LAND THROUGH OUTDOOR RECREATION

Choose Outdoors is a national non-profit organization located in Denver, Colorado. It was created to help unite the many diverse interests using our public lands with emphasis on promoting and preserving access, use, and the future of outdoor recreation on our public lands.

Since 1970, the U.S. Forest Service has provided a tree to appear on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC for the holiday season. The 2018 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree will come from the Willamette National Forest in Oregon.

Bruce Ward, Choose Outdoors President, is an Executive Producer of America’s Forests with Chuck Leavell. Featured on PBS stations across the country, this TV series and public engagement campaign celebrates our nation’s forests and explores a cross section of timely issues, benefits, opportunities and innovations on America’s forests.
